Six arrested for running sex racket in Bareilly

BAREILLY: Police on Thursday claimed to have busted a sex racket and arrested the owner house from where the racket was being run, his servant, a costumer and three girls in Karamchari Nagar here.
Superintendent of police (city) Abhinandan Singh said acting on a tip-off, police conducted raid at a house in Karamchari Nagar under jurisdiction of Izzatnagar police station and arrested house owner Vijay Yadav, 42, his servant Bablu Gupta, 44, a resident of Labour Colony, Devendra Kumar, 40, a native of Subhashnagar, a regular costumer, and three 15-year-old girls, two hailing from Madhubani district in Bihar and another from Shahdara in Delhi.

Singh said, “We have been working on this case for few months. We have collected information about Yadav, who was running the sex racket from his house. Yadav is the kingpin of the gang, who used to provide girls and rooms to customers on lower rates.”
“Around 10.30am on Thursday, an 11-member police team conducted a raid at Yadav’s house and arrested all six accused. Police also seized Rs 4,100 cash and seven cell phones from their possession. Yadav has links with sex racket gangs in Delhi. Police are investigating the matter and trying to reach the main gang in Delhi,” said Singh.
“We have sent the girls to the district hospital for examination and lodged an FIR against all the six accused under the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act,” Singh added.
