Criminal shot dead in Saran

CHHAPRA: Motorcycle-borne armed miscreants shot dead one Amarendra Tiwari alias Ramendra Baba (40) at Ghurapali village under the Rasulpur police station area in Saran district on Sunday.
SHO of Rasulpur police station Ram Sewak Raut said Tiwari had been evading arrest in 12 criminal cases lodged against him with different police stations in Jharkhand.
“The incident occurred when Tiwari was at home on Sunday.Two criminals called him and shot him dead after snatching his gold chain, ring and cellphone,” the SHO said.
Saran SP Har Kishore Rai said the Jharkhand police had recently sought cooperation from the district police to arrest Tiwari.
