PM Narendra Modi in Gujarat Highlights: Addressing a rally in Ahmedabad, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday evening said that One Nation-One Card is soon going to become a reality. Earlier, he inaugurated new civil, cancer and eye hospitals in Ahmedabad. Earlier, he inaugurated Phase-1 of Ahmedabad Metro and laid the foundation stone for the second phase. He also laid the foundation stone for Vishwa Umiya Dham Temple Complex at Jaspur. PM Modi said that the Congress governments of past fooled the farmers and cornered their votes by announcing loan waivers from time to time.
PM Modi also dedicated the 750-bed annexe of Guru Gobind Singh Hospital in Jamnagar to the nation and inaugurate a newly built hostel of the hospital. He also inaugurated the second phases of link-I and link- III networks of Saurashtra Narmada Avataran Irrigation Yojana (SAUNI), an ambitious project by the state government to fill the reservoirs of 115 dams in the water-starved Saurashtra region with water that overflows from the Narmada dam.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister inaugurated The Guru Gobind Singh Hospital in Jamnagar.

Prime Minister appealed to the people present at the gathering in Jaspur to create a society where there is no discrimination based on gender. He said that those who believe in Maa Umiya can never supoort female foeticide. He also stressed on the importance of top quality education for youngsters.
Addressing a gathering at Jaspur, PM Modi said that doing something at a small scale wasn't acceptable to us and our work will always be at a large scale, benefitting all sections of society. Remembering the teachings of our saints, he said, "Our saints and seers taught us to absorb the best of our past and, at the same time look ahead and keep changing with the times."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India would not sit quietly in the fight against terrorism and would do all to cure it from the root, which lies in Pakistan. Attacking the Opposition for demanding proof of the February 26 air strike on a Jaish-e-Mohammad terror camp in Balakot in Pakistan, he added that his objective was to end terror while that of the opposition was to remove him.
PM Modi: "In our Gujarat, communal riots were routine occurrence. Wasn't the scenario same in Jamnagar also? But all that has stopped now."
PM Modi: "I stated that had India had Rafale fighters, the result could have been better. Had it been with us, we wouldn't have lost anything of us and wouldn't have spared any of them. But they (Opposition) are questioning my assertion. They don't seem to have the capacity to understand what I am saying. I hope they use some samanya buddhi (common sense)."
PM Modi on armed forces: "The entire nation agrees that the menace of terror has to be eliminated. It is natural that we all should believe the armed forces and be proud of the forces. Yet, I don’t understand why some people still want to question the forces."
PM Modi: "The Central Government’s efforts for the MSME sector will help many youngsters. Dreams of youngsters will not remain unfulfilled due to shortage of credit. We also made GST simple and people-friendly. These and other steps have ensured improved ‘Ease of Business’ rankings."
PM Modi: "The previous government (UPA I&II) built 25 lakh houses. In five years, we built 1.3 crore houses and every family will have its own home by 2022."
PM Modi: "The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi will bring substantive benefits for India’s farmers. It is a long term and comprehensive effort for farmer welfare."
PM Modi on farmers: "Congress governments have fooled farmers all these years. Every 10 year, it would start crying about farmers and give dose of farm loan waivers. The debt was Rs 6 lakh crore. They waived Rs 52,000 crore and cornered all votes."
"But we have decided to give Rs 6,000 to farmers every year. It will mean Rs 75,000 crore annually and this money will go to villages. A few were benefitting from loan waivers, PM Kisan Nidhi Yojana will cover 90 out of every 100 farmers."
PM Modi on Kumbh Mela: "They (previous governments) couldn't ensure cleanliness in Kumbh Mela in 100 years. We achieved that in one year. Gujaratis who visited the fair this year are all praise for the cleanliness there."
PM Modi in Gujarat: "In Ayushman Bharat, India is home to one of the biggest healthcare programmes in the world. The coming of this initiative ensures top quality and affordable healthcare for the poor."

PM Modi: The Sardar Sarovar Dam has brought much relief to the people of Gujarat. This project was completed despite neglect from earlier state governments and adversities from various quarters. I was certain that I can’t allow ‘Tanker Raj’ to carry on in Gujarat.
Inaugurating various projects under SAUNI scheme, PM Modi said: "Gujarat doesn't have much minerals. Instead, there is shortage of water. But still, we are panidar (powerful enough) to lead India where we want to."
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said: "I welcome Narendra Modi who has won Seoul peace prize but has also taught lesson to those who are spreading ashanti (creating troubles). I also welcome Narendra Modi who washed feet of safai kamdars (sweepers) in Kumbh Mela."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Monday inaugurate the second phases of link-I and link- III networks of Saurashtra Narmada Avataran Irrigation Yojana (SAUNI), the ambitious project of the state government to fill up 115 dams of water-starved Saurashtra region with the overflowing water of Narmada dam.
The Prime Minister will fly to Jamnagar and dedicate to public the second phases of the link-I and link-III networks of SAUNI at a ceremony to be organised at the Exhibition Ground in Jamnagar city. The PM will inaugurate the second phase of link-I by releasing water into Ranjitsagar dam, a reservoir around seven kilometres from Jamnagar city. As part of the Rs 500-crore second phase, pumping station has been set up at Und-I dam and 3,000 millimetre (mm) diametre pipeline is being laid.
