FAIZABAD: The students of Sarvodya Ashram Vidyalaya in Barabanki have accused the school management of forcing them to wipe floor, wash utensils and cook food.
The boarding school is for students from below poverty line. It is run by the state social welfare department. About 400 students are enrolled in the school. The students have also accused the school management of serving them bad food.

The incident came to light after two students of the school uploaded their complaints on the chief minister's complaint portal on Sunday.
Irked over it, school principal Ram Gautam expelled the two students - who study in classes 8 and 9 - and forced them to leave the campus in the middle of the night.
Gautam, however, claimed that the students have been expelled on the orders of social welfare officer.
"Some locals informed Barabanki officials about the student's expulsion at night. The district administration immediately directed the school to take back the students. The school principal followed the directive but did not cancelled their expulsion," said Sushil Pratap Singh, naib tehsildar of Barabanki, who visited the school on DM's order.
Barabanki DM Uday Bhanu Tripathi told TOI that a probe has been ordered into the allegations. "The chief development officer and deputy director of social welfare department will conduct the inquiry. Further action will be taken after the probe report," he added.
