No flying squad to check cheating in Agra university
The university administration, before March 1, had said it aimed to conduct cheating-free exams.
AGRA: Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar University is yet to constitute a flying squad to put a tab on cheating during the main exams of session 2018-18, which started on March 1. According to state government orders, flying squads have to be constituted before the commencement of exams.
The university administration, before March 1, had said it aimed to conduct cheating-free exams. So far, two exams have been conducted without a flying squad.
Exams of the main subjects are going to start on March 6. Varsity officials said that the process to constitute a flying squad has been initiated and will be completed very soon.
Meanwhile, the university administration has set up a control room at Paliwal Park campus, where a team of 11 officials and teachers have been appointed to address complaints of cheating or any other malpractices. A control room has also been set up at the camp office of the vice chancellor, where five staffers have been appointed to monitor exams.
University public relations officer GS Sharma said, “The university administration is committed to ensure a fair conduct of exams. For this, two control rooms have been set up. Strict action will be taken on complaints of cheating in exams. Flying squads will be on the move very soon.”
