EXCLUSIVE! ‘URI’ director Aditya Dhar reacts on the film topping IMDb list!

Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘URI’ recently crossed 240 crores at the box office. Apart from a successful collection at the BO, the movie also topped the IMDb list. According to the IMDb list, ‘URI’ is on number 1 ahead of movies like ‘Dangal’ and ‘3 Idiots’ and has beaten ‘Anand’ in this list.
Ecstatic with the news of topping the IMDb list, director Aditya Dhar exclusively told us, “Reaching No.1 spot as highest rated Hindi film on IMDb feels amazing, it truly feels surreal.Never in our (team URI) wildest dreams had we imagined ‘URI’ will garner so much love and appreciation from everyone across the spectrum, be it people from our own film industry, Indian as well as foreign junta, our army officers and their families, our sport stars, top ministers and bureaucrats, etc. We truly feel blessed! We only have gratitude in our hearts.”
While ‘URI’ has achieved massive success at the box office, director Aditya Dhar wishes to live up to the expectations of the audience with his next movies as well. He said, “Whatever said and done now we have to push ourselves even harder to create something at par with ‘URI’ as our next and that’s the fun bit, we are really enjoying that pressure as I know it will push us like mad and hopefully make us create something really extraordinary.”
The film is in its 8th week and is still running successfully in theatres, becoming the tenth highest grosser ever.
