From the ₹90,000 crore Delhi-Mumbai expressway project, almost half of the amount will be spent on Delhi-Vadodara segment, while the remaining half will be spent on Vadodara-Mumbai section.
The proposed outlay of nearly 50 per cent of the project cost for the Mumbai-Vadodara is significant as the distance to be covered is smaller than the Delhi-Mumbai section.
The Delhi-Vadodara stretch is being taken up in 5 phases at a cost of ₹45,000 crore, for which bids have been invited and are at various stages of finalisation, according to an official release.
The Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway, is being constructed in three phases at a cost of ₹45,000 crore, the release added. Work has been awarded for 120 kms.
