Golden Horizon Run season-2 held in Nashik

NASHIK: About 1,000 runners, including a 78-year-old man and a two-year-old girl participated in Goonj Foundation's Golden Horizon Run Season 2 held on Sunday.
The starting point for different running categories was GHS ground. The chief guest of the programme was DCP Shrikrishna Kokate.
The 10K run was flagged off by Ratan Luth, chairperson of Nashik Schools Association at 6.30am. The 5K run was flagged off by Maj DK Zarekar at 6.45am and the 3K run was flagged off by Rajkumar Jolly, president of Niwec.
"We used to organise the marathon for our school initially.Gradually, many people in this field joined us and we decided to organise it for general public as well. All other marathons are held in other part of the city. But there was no marathon here. This is Nashik Road's own marathon. We got good technical support from Aniruddha Athani and medical support from Dr Shweta Bhide," said Sandeep Goyal, organiser of the event.
