Khimji units enhance Duqm school facilities

MUSCAT, March 17, 2019

Eshraqa, the social development arm of Khimji Ramdas, and Khimji’s Sparkle Marine Services recently collaborated to enhance the building infrastructure at Bahr Al Arab School located within the Special Economic Zone Authority Duqm (Sezad).

Under the initiative, Eshraqa and Khimji’s Sparkle Marine Services have assisted with the construction of an outdoor classroom and the supplementation of an interactive smart board which will add to the students’ learning experiences, said a statement.

Education is a crucial part of Khimji Ramdas’ Eshraqa; it focuses on providing infrastructural support to educational institutions; supporting scholarships and offering vocational and entrepreneurial training that prepare the youth for future leadership roles.

Jairaj Kumar Penukonda, director, Khimji’s Sparkle Marine Services, said: “Our objective is to be a strong partner; supporting the nation’s progress by giving back to the community.”

“We concentrate on building an ecosystem that is in tandem with the government’s initiatives for improvement within all sectors of the sultanate,” he added.

Nailesh Khimji, director, Khimji Ramdas, said: “We aim to harness the power of business to achieve sustainable economic, social and environmental development across the sultanate to help unlock the true potential of the nation.”

Eshraqa aims to empower the society with initiatives that are at the forefront of sustainable development. It aims to invest and support projects that have a long-lasting impact on the growth of the nation with a wide range of activities including healthcare, education and social welfare.
