    India Inc remembers Parrikar as a 'true leader'; Anand Mahindra, Adani tweet tribute to Goa CM

    Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar passed away at the age of 63 on Sunday. The former defence minister had been dealing with an advanced pancreatic condition since February last year, and had been undergoing treatment for a while.
    Parrikar's death was mourned by the entire nation and condolences poured in on Twitter. Politicians, sports personalities and Bollywood celebrities recalled their association with the senior BJP leader.

    Corporate leaders, too, tweeted about Parrikar and expressed grief at the loss of a 'great leader'. Hashtags #ManoharParrikar, #WeMissManoharParrikar and #RIPManoharParrikar were some of the top trends on Twitter.

    Anand Mahindra, the Chairman of the Mahindra group, joined RPG boss Harsh Goenka to pay tribute to Parrikar.

    The Adani Group boss, Gautam Adani, called Parrikar's demise an 'irreparable loss for India' and offered strength to the family.


    Biocon MD and chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw also stepped forward to mourn the loss of a 'true leader'.

    Raymond boss Gautam Singhania, too, offered prayers for the deceased soul.
