THEY FOLLOWED THE TRACKS OF THE HORSE BACK TO A FARM WHERE THERE WERE OTHER STARVING HORSES. IT IS BELIEVED HE HAS A BONE INFECTION IN HIS FACE. PARADISE SAYS SHE WAS BORN ON A FRIGID DAY IN SUN AND FROSTBITE SET IN TOO FAST. >> WE WANT TO GET HER FITTED FOR A WHEELCHAIR. MIKE C.: AND THEN THERE IS THE COONHOUND WHO WAS SURRENDERED BY A FAMILY WHO COULD NOT AFFORD A SURGERY FOR A TORN ACL. A New Hampshire animal sanctuary is seeking assistance raising money to help several animals that require expensive rehabilitation.Live and Let Live Farm Rescue in Chichester is caring for a horse, a goat kid and a dog that all have serious medical issues.Sanctuary founder Teresa Paradis said Dune the horse was found wandering in Acworth."He was so emaciated. It was just like a carpet over the bones," she said.Paradis said police followed the horse's tracks back to a farm where there were other starving horses.Sanctuary workers said they believe Dune has a bone infection in his face, so he needs a CT scan and surgery."It's life or death. If the surgery isn't done, then we have to euthanize him," Paradis said.Ruby the goat was born on a frigid day in Sutton, and frostbite set in fast.Now around 8 weeks old, Ruby had to have both of her rear legs amputated due to frostbite.Ruby is resilient, managing to get around on just her front legs, but Paradis said they want to get her fitted for a wheelchair while she's growing and prosthetics when she's full-grown.Aubie the coonhound was surrendered by a family who couldn't afford surgery for his torn ACL."We've done so many rescues in the last year, but these are three big ones all at once, and we just need help," Paradis said.An anonymous couple is matching up to $10,000 in donations for the animals.To donate to Live and Let Live Farm, visit its website or mail a check to 20 Paradise Lane, Chichester, NH 03258.
