Vote is a means to feel the country’s soul and a citizen is directly involved in the process of national development through the electoral process, actor Kailash has said.
Mr. Kailash, brand ambassador of the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme, was interacting with students after launching the district-level voter education campaign at a function in Catholicate College here on Tuesday.
According to him, vote is our ‘opinion’ and we should unfailingly exercise the franchise in the larger interests of the country. To a question posed by a student as to which political party should be voted to power this time, Mr. Kailash said one could easily reach a conclusion in this regard after going through newspapers and analysing the reports of the past six months. He later flagged off a proclamation rally from the college to the St Peter’s Cathedral.

Mr. Kailash also released the SVEEP logo by handing it over to Thiruvalla Subcollector Vinay Goel on the occasion.
