Christian Center to hold naming contest for venue

The Christian Center of Park City is holding a contest to name its new event venue, according to a press release. The nonprofit, which provides services to low-income families in the area, plans to award the winner of the contest with a $200 gift certificate to the center’s boutique. The contest is set to start on March 31 and end on April 15. To submit a name, send a message to eventcoordinator@ccofpc.org. Those who enter can submit up to three event venue names.

Park City official wins statewide recreation award



Jessica Moran, recreation and marketing supervisor for Park City, and Park City Recreation recently received the 2019 Innovation of the Year award from the Utah Recreation and Parks Association. According to Park City’s newsletter, the association recognizes achievement in parks, recreation, leisure services and education in Utah. Moran won the award for the Counselors in Training program, which teaches service and leadership to 13- to 15-year-olds in a camp setting.

Registration open for the Utah Economic Summit



Registration is open for the Utah Economic Summit hosted by Gov. Gary Herbert, according to the event’s website. The summit is set to take place at the Grand American Hotel in Salt Lake City on May 17. Leaders in the business, government and academic communities are invited to attend the event, which will include breakout sessions and keynote addresses about Utah’s economy. The theme for this year’s summit is Global Connections — How Utah’s Business Elevated Mindset Creates Success. Registration is $180 a person, and it is set to increase in cost on April 13.
