Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan on Sunday warned Rajya Sabha member and YSRCP leader V. Vijaya Sai Reddy to mind his language. Addressing a gathering at Pedana, Mr. Pawan came down on Mr. Reddy on the latter’s allegation that the JSP was sold away to the TDP, saying Pulivendula politics would not work on him.

“I warn you from Pedana that I will be good with those who are good with me. If not…I’m tight-lipped due to the the Model Code,” he said.

“You [Mr. Sai Reddy] should speak to your party chief Jagan on the murder of his uncle in his house in Pulivendula. How do you protect law and order when you had failed to ensure safety in your own house,” asked Mr. Pawan. In Machilipatnam, Mr. Pawan said the TDP lacked the courage to face Mr. Jagan and his rowdies.

“The Jana Sena will not allow Mr. Jagan to run Pulivendula politics in the State. I don’t need lessons from Mr. Jagan, whose house is stored with sickles, and TDP president Chandrababu Naidu. The JSP will do politics in a unique way, roping in the common man instead of family members.”

On the backwardness of Machilipatnam and Pedana and the Machilipatnam coast, Mr. Pawan said the two coastal towns had received a ‘stepmotherly’ treatment from Mr. Naidu as his policies focussed on Amaravati and Vijayawada.

“I assure to develop Machilipatnam and Pedana and revive maritime trade by commissioning the Machilipatnam port by 2021. “It will create employment and development.” He admitted it was his maiden visit to Machilipatnam. “Mr. Jagan maintained silence on collecting 33,000 acres in Machilipatnam while the TDP has ignored the Singapore model in developing the port,” said Mr. Pawan. Pension of ₹5,000 for every fisherman at the age of 58 would be guaranteed if elected .
