Khloe Kardashian sends clothes to fan working overtime to afford Good American jeans

Khloe Kardashian treated a Twitter user to a selection of gifts from her Good American fashion line, after her follower revealed that she’d have to work overtime in order to afford a pair of jeans.

The fan posted a tweet earlier this month in which she praised Kardashian’s denim brand, and said that she was prepared to pick up “extra shifts” in order to buy them.

“So I realised I have to work 20 hours in order to afford @khloekardashian jeans… and I’m in love with them… catch me picking up extra shifts,” she wrote.

Kardashian initially responded by describing the post as “cute,” writing: “Awwwwww this is so cute!!!! I’m so happy you enjoy them.”

Her reply received some criticism online, as Twitter users branded the reality star’s message “tone deaf” and “patronizing.”

“Not to sound like a hater but this actually upsets me!” one social media user wrote. “Someone had to work a stupid amount of hours to afford ONE pair of jeans. A millionaire thinks it’s ‘cute’ that ppl [sic] have to calculate & think how many hours they have to work to afford little things.”

Another added: “She has to work 20 hours to buy your jeans… this is not a compliment. But it shows how amazingly out of touch you are, way to go.”

Yesterday, the fan revealed that Kardashian had reached out to send her a selection of pieces from her brand, and shared photos of herself wearing the new clothes on Twitter.

“I still can’t believe my tweet got so much attention,” she wrote. “I have adored @khloekardashian for so long and am so thankful she took the time out of her day to send me some AMAZING clothes.”

She went on to allude to the criticism of Kardashian, revealing that she “never once took her tweet to be anything other than positive.”

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star responded by saying she was “happy” that she had received her “goodies,” and told her to “keep working hard and being such a positive soul.”

Kardashian launched her brand in 2016 with business partner Emma Grede, with the intention of creating a body positive label in a wide range of sizes and fits.
