Shivpal’s party fields ex-BJP leader in SP bastion Kannauj

Lucknow: Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia) on Wednesday released the third list of 10 candidates for Lok Sabha elections. PSP-L general secretary Aditya Yadav said the party has replaced two candidates in the fresh list.
Phool Chandra Verma has been replaced with Sanjay Bhartiya from Hardoi reserved seat while Captain Indrapal Singh Pal has been replaced with Mahendra Singh Yadav in Akbarpur.Bhartiya is an associate professor in a degree college while Yadav is the chairman of a dairy firm.
Former Congress leader Jai Singh Yadav has been given ticket from Pratapgarh. Sunil Kumar Singh, who claims to have been a BJP worker for 20 years, will contest on PSP-L ticket from Samjawadi Party’s bastion Kannauj. The seat is currently represented by Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple. Similarly, Mahesh Chandra Sahu, who too claims to be a former BJP member, has been given ticket from Fatehpur.
Deepak Chowdhry will contest from Aligarh and Mithlesh Devi from Hathras reserved seat. Chowdhry Jagbir Singh Nahar has been given ticket from Mathura and Vijay Kumar Mishra from Sitapur. Dr Azimullah Ansari has entered the poll fray from Salempur seat.
