Woman cop in Satara accuses deputy SP of sexual harassment

PUNE: A woman police sub-inspector (PSI) from Satara on Friday sought the registration of an FIR against a senior officer for allegedly molesting her in 2018.
At a press conference in Pune, the PSI also demanded action against an assistant inspector, who she claimed did not act on her complaint, and a senior officer for allegedly making casteist remarks against her.
“The allegations levelled by the PSI, who was placed under suspension on Thursday and attached to the Satara police control room, are false and baseless. She had not conducted a proper investigation in a molestation case, in which she tried to help the suspect. The complainant met the deputy SP, who later sent a default report against her. She then started making false complaints,” a senior officer said.
