NEW DELHI: A 19-year-old youth was stabbed to death by two men in Rohini’s Sector 3 on Friday night, police said.
Senior police officers said the victim has been identified as Vardaan, a resident of Vijay Vihar colony.
An early probe into the case has revealed that the incident occurred at 10.30 pm on Friday when Vardaan, along with his friend Vinay, went to Sector 3 to meet their friend.

Vinay told the cops that when he and Vardaan were standing outside their friend’s house in Sector-3, a motorcycle stopped in front of them. Two men stepped down and started thrashing Vardaan without any provocation.
Before anyone could understand, the duo attacked Vardaan multiple times with a knife, and when Vinay tried to help, they threw a stone at him and fled. Vardaan was rushed to Baba Sahib Ambedkar Hospital by his friends where he was declared brought dead. The cops were alerted who took Vinay’s statements and a case of murder has been registered at Rohini south police station.
The cops suspect the murder to be fallout of personal enmity and have spoken to the victim’s parents and friends for more information. The CCTV footage of the area is also being scanned to identify the suspects and the vehicle used by them. A forensic team has collected evidence from the scene of crime and multiple teams have been constituted to solve the case.
