BSEB Inter results 2019 out: Check Bihar class 12 toppers of Science, Commerce and Arts streams

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Saturday announced the results of Intermediate (Class XII) examinations with 79.76% of students emerging successful, a climb of 26.81% from the previous year.

PATNA: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Saturday announced the results of Intermediate (Class XII) examinations with 79.76% of students emerging successful, a climb of 26.81% from the previous year.
Of the 12,78,655 candidates in all three streams - science, commerce and arts - 10,19,795 passed the exam. The pass percentage in commerce stream stood at 93.02%, followed by 81.2% in science stream and 76.53% in arts stream.
BSEB class 12 Science toppers
Rohini Prakash from Plus 2 High School, Sarbahdi, Nalnada and Pawan Kumar from Government High School, Kinjar, Arwal emerged as joint state toppers in science stream by securing 94.6% marks.
The two scored 473 out of 500 marks.
Satyajeet Suman from Neelmani High School, Samastipur and Subhakar Kumar from Project Senior Secondary School, West Champaran jointly secured the second position in science stream with 94.4%.
The third topper was Mohammad Ahmad from Durga Prasad High School, Katihar, who secured 94.2%.
BSEB class 12 Commerce toppers
In commerce stream, Satyam Kumar from S K R College, Sheikhpura, Sonu Kumar from College of Commerce, Arts and Sciences, Patna and Shreya Kumari from Project Balika High School, West Champaran secured 94.4%, 94% and 93.8% marks, respectively, to secure first three positions.

BSEB class 12 Arts toppers
In arts stream, Rohini Rani from St Teresa's Girls High School, Bettiah and Manish Kumar from Gaya College scored 92.6% emerged as joint toppers. Vikash Kumar from Baidyanath High School, West Champaran and Mahenoor Jahan from National Academy High School, Kishanganj jointly secured second spot with 92% marks while the third position was shared by Harshita Kumari and Nishikant Kumar Jha of Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui, who scored 91.6% each.
Altogether 4,26,915 students secured first division, 5,50,844 second division and 42,036 third division. According to BSEB, 174 results are pending due to various reasons. Online scrutiny of papers will begin from April 3.
Additional chief secretary of state education department R K Mahajan and BSEB chairman Anand Kishor jointly announced the results at the BSEB headquarters here. The results were later uploaded to the website of the Board.
Kishor said the pass percentage in Intermediate exam increased this year because of moderation policy adopted by the Board. "Special training was given to teachers on new method of evaluation of answer sheets," he said.
"The BSEB has announced Intermediate results in March for the first time. We had deputed computer operators at various evaluation centres for tabulation work. All the computers were attached to the BSEB headquarters in Patna," Kishor said.
Mahajan attributed the increase in pass percentage to revamp of question pattern.
