An FIR of robbery, trespass, assault and under Arms Act has been registered at Malviya Nagar police station.

The incident occurred at 8am at G-Block, Malviya Nagar in south Delhi. The complainant, Pawan Kumar Aggarwal, lives on the first-floor with his wife, two sons and the 17-year-old household help, Deepak.
Aggarwal, who runs a marble business in Gurgaon and Chhatarpur, told police that he had gone out for a morning walk with his neighbour. After sometime, his wife also left for a stroll in a nearby park, leaving Deepak alone in the house. His wife soon called him saying that she had received a call from Deepak, who was lying injured in the house after a robbery.
“When we reached, we found a lock on the iron gate. Deepak was locked inside,” Aggarwal said. He called the cops and they broke open the lock. They found Deepak lying in a pool of blood in the drawing room with a deep head injury.

Deepak told police that he was working in the house when he heard someone breaking the iron door and putting his hand inside to open it. Before he could react, three masked men stormed in. They were armed with iron rods and a pistol. When he tried to shout for help, he was overpowered, hit with the rod on his head and the pistol’s butt.
The men tied his hands from behind with duct tape and pushed him on the bed. They threatened to shoot him if he made any noise. The robbers took around Rs 4 lakh cash, mobile phones, laptops, documents and jewellery. While leaving, they locked the door from outside to make it appear that no one was inside.
After they left, Deepak managed to release himself and contacted the family. After being rescued, he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The investigating team recovered the pistol’s magazine with six live rounds in it from the house. The rounds are of 7.65mm and have “KF 7.65” engraved on them. A forensics team has picked up bloodstain samples and fingerprints to determine the identity of the criminals. The family members are being quizzed to find out if they have suspicion on anyone. CCTV footage of the area is being analysed to get the sequence of events.
