PATNA: The newly formed Purnia University has prepared a blueprint to achieve all-round development in the fields of research and career-oriented courses to cater to the needs of economically deprived students of the state.
“The university has also tied up with the reputed academics and scholars of the Harvard and Stanford universities of the US to help build up an ideal academic atmosphere on the campus,” vice-chancellor Rajesh Singh said.

Singh said the university has decided to introduce a one-year diploma course in campaign strategy and political leadership from the next academic session beginning July this year.
“This course has been designed and prepared with a view to giving actual training to youths who wish to opt politics as their career. The course will also help young student leaders know nuances of politics and leadership qualities,” he said.
The university, which will send a proposal regarding introduction of the course to Raj Bhavan and state government soon, has decided to hold a workshop on this topic in cooperation with experts and academics of Harvard and Stanford universities, the VC said.
“The university will award degree to candidates on successful completion of the course. Qualified guest teachers will be hired to teach the students,” the VC said.
