Watch: Veteran Bollywood actress Jaya Prada announces contesting Lok Sabha Elections 2019 from Rampur constituency

Veteran actress Jaya Prada today, took to her Facebook account and announced that she would contest the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 from Rampur Constituency. Like many other Bollywood actors who have extended their support towards political parties with joining them for the upcoming elections, Jaya Prada too announced her candidature.
On the account of her 57th birthday, Jaya Prada shared a video announcing her nominations from Rampur against Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan.She also mentioned that she is joining BJP in the video. Jaya expressed that she is happy to contest election from Rampur and support Narendra Modi.
She wrote, "“यह मेरे लिए बहुत खुशी की बात है कि मेरे जन्मदिन पर मैं रामपुर से उम्मीदवार के रूप में अपना नामांकन दाखिल करने वाली हूं। आपका आशीर्वाद चाहती हूं और शुभकामनाओं के लिए आप सभी को धन्यवाद देना चाहती हूं। #JayaPrada #MainBhiChowkidar #NationSaysNamoAgain”. (It is a great pleasure for me that on my birthday I am going to file my nomination as a candidate from Rampur. I want your blessings and best wishes. I thank you in advance for all the good wishes you have sent.) Jaya even mentioned in the video that she wanted to live in Rampur and work for the people in Rampur, and thus, was happy to get BJP’s ticket from that constituency.
