Bihar Board 10th Result 2019, BSEB Bihar Board Matric Result 2019 HIGHLIGHTS: The Bihar School Education Board (BSEB) has announced the result for class 10 matric exams on Saturday, April 6. Around 16.6 lakh students will get their result tomorrow, the examination of which was conducted from February 21 to 28 at 1,418 examination centres across the country. This year, the BSEB has introduced multiple measures to change the evaluation pattern for class 10 and class 12 exams including lenient and step-wise marking systems.

The Bihar Board had last week announced the result of intermediate or class 12 examination. In a press conference, the board announced a slew of measures taken because of which they have managed to publish the inter result on record 44 days. In the past, the BSEB use to declare the results of class 10 and 12 in June.
The Bihar Board has introduced ‘grace marks’ policy in 2017 under which a student can get up to 8 per cent grace marks. The policy stated that if a student fails in one subject only (by not more than 8 per cent marks or in two subjects by not more than 4 per cent marks in each), he/she will be given the marks he/she is short of.
If a candidate still fails in one or two subjects will have the opportunity to appear in the compartment exam. The application process for the compartment exam will begin from April 11 and conclude on April 16, 2019. The exam will be conducted in May and the results for the same will be announced in June 2019

As after almost 24 hours since the declaration of class 10 result, none of the official websites are working, students took social media to criticise board.
All the official websites of Bihar Board- biharboard.online, bsebssresult.com, biharboardonline.bihar.gov.in, biharboard.ac.in, bsebinteredu.in have been crashed.
"All Bihar result websites are down because of heavy load... We have so much talented engineer who can solve the issue.. but who cares... Only politics work in BIHAR," tweeted Pradip Rawat

Bihar Board class 10 topper, Sawan Raj Bharti, hails from a village called Rajaun in the Banka district and has been living in a residential government school since class 9 in pursuit of better education. Son of a farmer, Bharti is confident in his preparation and has said that he will emerge as a topper every time or anytime he appears for the board exam. Bharti had secured 486 out of 500 marks with a 97.2 per cent.
Further, the BSEB had also introduced 'grace marks' policy in 2017 under which a student can get up to 8 per cent grace marks. This year, the Bihar Board developed software to enable real-time marks entry. "The software has helped to fasten the evaluation process, as marks were uploaded on it at the end of the evaluation process every day," said BSEB chairman Anand Kishore.
BSEB class 10 topper is a son of a farmer and hails from Banka district in Bihar. He lived in the residential school for better education opportunities since class 9; away from his home.
Bihar Board topper, Sawan Raj told indianexpress.com, "I am confident of my preparation. I will top as many times as I appear for my Bihar Board exam". He further said that he aspires to become an Indian Administrative Services (IAS) topper.
A total of 16.35 lakh students appeared for class 10 exam out of which 13.20 lakh have cleared the same. The pass percentage has risen to 80.73 per cent this year. Out of the total, 6,82,990 male candidates and 6.36 lakh female candidates passed the exam.
Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya principal Rajiv Ranjan said the secret to the success is ‘informal way of teaching’. “It is all a team effort. We are a residential school. We give focus on informal discussions. Our students can ask questions and teachers are available even after school hour which helped in building success stories,” said Ranjan.

Nine out of top 10 students including the topper Sawan Raj Bharti are from the same school — Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya (SAV), Jamui. Further in top 18 too, 16 are from the SAV. Talking to indianexpress.com, Rajiv Ranjan, principal, Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, said, “This is not the first time that we have given toppers. We expect over 40 in the top 100 from the school.” Declining any malice in the practice, Ranjan said, “We have been hearing negative voices, especially from media but there is nothing to hide, we are open to any sort of trial.”

Though the students have performed better in Bihar board Class 10 examination, there are around 20 per cent students who have flunked in one subject or two.
The students who could not perform well have to appear in one subject or two. The application process for the compartmental exams will start on April 11 and will be closed on April 18, 2019.
BSEB 10th results 2019: The students who are not satisfied with the Class 10 marks, can apply for the scrutiny process. The application process for the scrutiny will begin from April 9. The students can apply till April 18, 2019.
This year, out of the 18 toppers, 17 students are from the same school, Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui. As questions started raising regarding the toppers list, principal Rajiv Ranjan said, "As the school is a government entity, they have no vested interests behind the results. The school is open for any kind of investigation."

This year, around 13.2 lakh students (13,20,036) students clear the Bihar board class 10 examination. The pass percentage reached a record 80.73 per cent. A total of 6,83,990 boys became successful, while 6,36,046 girls cleared the examination
Top four positions are grabbed by the girls from Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya of Jamui, a flagship school of the state government. Of 22 state toppers, 16 are from Simultala school. The first topper Prerna Raj scored 457 (91.4 per cent), followed by Pragya and Shikha Kumari getting 90.8 per cent. The third topper Annu Priya Kumari got 90.4 per cent. A student each from Banka, Bhojpur, Darbhanga and Patna schools are among top 20 students.

The toppers will be given a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh each, along with a laptop and a kindle e-reader. The second and third topper will get a cash prize of Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 each and the fourth and fifth rank holder from each stream will get Rs 15,000 and a laptop each. This year, around 12 lakh students had appeared for the Bihar intermediate Class 12 exams.
The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), this year, directed students to sit in exams while wearing slippers or flip-flops and not shoes along with socks. Unlike every year, the education minister of Bihar will not announce the results of Class 10 examinations. As the EC model code of conduct has been issued, the education minister Krishna Nandan Prasad Verma will not release the Intermediate results.
The results will be announced by Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department RK Mahajan in presence of BSEB chairman Anand Kishore.
Around 162 students were expelled from giving examinations after they were caught with cheating materials during the examinations in the recently concluded matriculation (Class 10) examinations in Bihar. Another 55 persons were arrested for impersonating as candidates, mentioned BSEB chairman Anand Kishore.
As per report, last year at least 114 students were caught cheating and two impersonators were arrested during the intermediate examination.

This year, Bihar Board had made significant changes to the exam pattern which included introduction of 50 per cent objective questions. For objective questions, students were provided with a separate OMR sheet. The board had also introduced coded answer sheets this year to avoid any malpractice during the evaluation process.

This year, a record number of 13.15 lakh students will appear for the Intermediate (Class 12) examinations and 16.5 lakh students for Matric (Class 10) examinations.
To check malpractice, the Bihar Board has adopted some stringent measures including a ban on footwear inside exam centres. Despite the winter chill, the students will have to remove their socks, shoes when they sit for class 10 examinations which begin from February.
Speaking to indianexpress.com, Rajeev Dwivedi, PRO, BSEB said, “To prevent cheating in the examinations, the board has formed a special team of invigilators. So for every 25 candidates, one invigilator has been assigned. The students are restricted to enter the examination centre with shoes and socks.”
This year, the board has prepared 10 sets of question papers, and the students will get question papers of different sets varies from (A to J). “As the question papers were tuned to 50 per cent objective from last year, the board has decided to give various sets to prevent cheating inside the exam centre and also to prevent the paper leak.”
In case a student fails in one subject only by not more than 8 per cent marks or in two subjects by not more than 4 per cent marks in each, he/she will be given the marks he/she is short of. If someone has obtained 75 per cent marks in aggregate but has failed in one subject only by not more then 10 per cent marks and cannot be allowed to pass under any other regulation, will be declared to have passed
This year’s pass percentage has improved with 79.76 per cent. A record total of 10.19 lakh students passed. The exam was held in February and this year, the result is released in March. This year, 81.20 students have passed from the science stream, and 93.02 per cent from the commerce stream while it is 76.53 per cent from arts stream.
The state government has decided to felicitate 10 toppers of Class 10 and 12. Matric toppers will get Rs 1,200 per month for two years to pursue higher secondary education. The students will have to score at least 60 per cent marks in Class 11 to be eligible for the scholarship in Class 12.
Over 16 lakh students who have appeared for the BSEB Class 10 examination can check their results through the private website, indiaresults.com. To view their matric exam marks, candidates need to keep their roll card handy. They can access it by entering their roll number and other details
The students can also get the results via the app. To get results, the students have to download a relevant app from google play store. The students have to pre-register their roll number in the app to get their results on time.
