Three polling stations in Nandurbar constituency will be housed in temporary tin sheds for the Lok Sabha elections to be held on April 29. These three polling stations are located in Dhankhedi, Mukhadi and Zapi villages of the Akkalkuva taluka. "Due to lack of public buildings in the taluka, the administration will construct three temporary tin sheds where polling will be held and complete security will be ensured," divisional commissioner of Nashik Rajaram Mane said.

Nandurbar is one of the remotest locations in the state. The sheds will be built on open spaces in the particular villages and armed police will be deployed for the safety of the staff.
"The Election Commission guidelines are clear that booths should not be far away from the residence of voters. The three booths have a strength of around 800 voters each," Mane said.
