Woman, her two kids burnt alive in UP’s Budaun

BAREILLY: A 32-year-old woman and her two children were charred to death in Ujhani area of Budaun district on Sunday. The woman, Asha Devi, was cooking food when the stove blew up due to leakage of the LPG cylinder, police said.
Devi had arrived at her maternal home in Dehmu village under Ujhani police station area in Budaun district from Aligarh a couple of days ago.
Her father Dhanpal Singh said, “Since the school was shut, my daughter came here to stay with us with her four children on Friday.
We were sitting in the veranda when the fire broke out.” Singh said that his son-in-law Shyam Babu is a labourer in Aligharh.
“After the burner blew up, the thatched roof caught fire. The cylinder was placed at the door and within no time entire kitchen was gutted,” Sanjeev Kumar, a neighbour said.
While Devi’s 18-month-old son died on the sport, a four year old girl was rushed to hospital with 60% burns. She also died during treatment.
