UPCC president Raj Babbar releases local manifesto for Agra and Fatehpur Sikri

Days after the Congress party released its national manifesto, Uttar Pradesh State Congress Committee (UPSC) president and party’s candidate from Fatehpur Sikr, Raj Babbar, on Friday released a “local” manifesto of Agra and Fatehpur Sikri.

AGRA: Days after the Congress party released its national manifesto, Uttar Pradesh State Congress Committee (UPSC) president and party’s candidate from Fatehpur Sikri Raj Babbar on Friday released a “local” manifesto of Agra and Fatehpur Sikri.
Highlighting the local issues of Agra and Fatehpur Sikri, the manifesto, among other things, promises to upgrade Agra Medical College in order to get it a status of AIIMS, improve the condition of Bhimrao Ambedkar University and to develop employment opportunities for youths in tourism and Information Technology sector.
It also promises storage facilities for farmers and cold storage for vegetables would be improved in Fatehpur Sikri.
Targeting the BJP, Congress’s local manifesto says that on one side there is a BJP model which has ruined the economy and made people unemployed with demonetisation and on the other is the tried and tested Congress model which is accountable and makes the country strong by development.
“If you give me a chance, I assure you to fulfill what I have promised in the manifesto,” said Raj Babbar. He said, a policy for leather footwear industry will be formed and they will try to establish a women university in the area. He said that this election will decide the future of the nation and Uttar Pradesh is an important state in terms of Lok Sabha polls.
