PATNA: A Bajrang Dal activist was stabbed to death by a group of 12 assailants near Sandish Compound under the Tilka Manjhi police station area in Bhagalpur town on Thursday night.
The victim has been identified as Krishna Dev Raj (26), who was also a boxer and a martial arts trainer. Raj was imparting training to children in the area when the incident occurred.
SHO of Tilka Manjhi police station Mithilesh Kumar said the murder was fallout of Raj’s heated arguments with the assailants a day before the incident.

The SHO said police have detained some suspects for interrogation. He said some locals, who had tried to rescue Raj, were also attacked. Three of the locals who sustained injuries in the attack were identified as Shanu Kumar, Ritesh Kumar and Shyam Kumar. “The condition of these people is out of danger,” police said, adding the deceased was a native of Pirpainti in Bhagalpur.
