Vicky Kaushal and Uri director Aditya Dhar's next is an action-based superhero film

The next project together of Vicky Kaushal and Aditya Dhar will be a super hero film. Recently, it was reported that the URI: The Surgical Strike actor and director are coming together for a period drama that revolves around the mythological character Ashvathama from Mahabharatha.

Now, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh has announced that the film will be a action-based superhero film set in modern times. The director will soon leave for US to prep for the film.

In another tweet, Adarsh added, "Parts will be shot in India. Major portions will be filmed abroad. VFX will be done by the biggest studios internationally. Can turn out to be one of the biggest films ever made here."

On Tuesday, Adarsh announced that Vicky Kaushal, Aditya Dhar, and Ronnie Screwvala are coming together yet again for a period drama after their blockbuster, Uri: The Surgical Strike.

"BIGGG NEWS. Uri team reunites for a period war film. Actor Vicky Kaushal, director Aditya Dhar and producer Ronnie Screwvala. The film [not titled yet] will be shot all over India. Mid-2020 release," he had said. The movie is expected to hit screens in mid-2020.

Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal is riding high on the success of his last release. He will next be seen in Shoojit Sircar's Udham Singh and Karan Johar's Takht alongside actors Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar and Jahnvi Kapoor.

Uri grossed over Rs 336 crore worldwide. It also became the 10th highest grossing film ever.

Uri is based on the surgical strike carried out by the Indian Army on seven terrorist launchpads across the Line of Control on September 29, 2016. The strikes were performed in retaliation to a terrorist attack on an army camp at Uri earlier that month.
