HYDERABAD: During a religious procession of a community in Nizamabad district on Friday, some of the members of this community pelted stones and damaged the property of people of another community on Friday night.
Some of the videos of the stone pelting showed that police were not in control of the situation as the mob damaged parked cars and auto rickshaws on the road besides specifically targeting a commercial building by pelting stones on it.

There have been allegations of police inaction in controlling the stone pelters when some persons were damaging the property while shouting religious slogans.
Senior police officers later rushed in additional forces and brought the situation under control by making some intervention. The rally was first allowed to be completed without any further trouble and district police claimed that action will be taken against those who were involved in stone pelting.
