Youth beaten to death after spat over dancing in baraat

AGRA: A 26-year-old youth, Naveen alias Narayan Singh, was allegedly beaten to death by a group of youths after a fight over dancing in a wedding procession at Chandragadhi village in Hathras district on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.
Police have registered a case under IPC sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) against four people — Sachin Singh, Anshul Singh and two unidentified persons — on the basis of a complaint filed by deceased’s father, Teekam Singh.All the accused are absconding.
According to police, the incident occurred around midnight. The accused, who were in an inebriated state allegedly beat up Naveen after an argument over dancing. Naveen reportedly fell on the ground and was immediately taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
His body has been sent for post-mortem and police are waiting the report to know the exact cause of death.
