A new statewide vaping and e-cigarette awareness campaign will feature Kentucky teenagers sharing what they've learned about the products' dangers with their peers.The nonprofit Foundation For a Healthy Kentucky unveiled the peer-to-peer "I Just Didn't Know" campaign Monday morning.The public service announcements will feature students sharing what they have learned about the dangers of tobacco products, including e-cigarettes and vaping devices. "The campaign includes several public service announcements, as well as a website, YouTube channel and Instagram page," the nonprofit's president and CEO, Ben Chandler, said. "We are making all these materials completely free and encouraging everyone to share as much as possible."Last week, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced plans to introduce federal legislation to raise the legal age for buying all tobacco products to 21.
