Blockchain platform Blockshow launched a fundraising c ampaign in cryptocurrencies for the reconstruction of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, which was destroyed in fire recently.

In its official Twitter account, the Cointelegraph - powered blockchain event posted two digital currency wallet addresses of bitcoin and ethereum. Every person who make a donation will receive a BlockShow ticket as a gift, it said.

The platform also added a link to the Foundations Du Patrimoine, which is raising donations in fiat currencies.

It was on April 15 that a devastating fire destroyed most of the world famous Notre-Dame Cathedral. Many international campaigns, including cryptocurrency companies are raising funds for the cathedral rebuilding. Eminent personalities have also come forward in support to rebuild the Cathedral.

Binance Charity Foundation or BCF, the philanthropic arm of cryptocurrency exchange Binance, last December had started a fundraising channel known as the L-IstrinaCampaign to support terminally ill patients and disadvantaged children in Malta.

BCF is also piloting a blockchain-powered donation drive for its "Lunch for Children" program in 2019. The program envisages providing two meals a day for a full year 2019 to more than 200 students and school staff in Uganda.
