COMMITTEE APPROVES ALABAMA LOTTERY BILL, ADVANCES TO SENATE FLOOR
The Senate Tourism and Marketing Committee voted on a lottery bill for Alabama.
The bill passed with a vote of six to five. The bill will advance to the Alabama Senate Floor for a vote, possibly as early as this Thursday, April 25.
The bill was proposed by Alabama Sen. Greg Albritton. It provides for a traditional, paper-ticket lottery.
Alabama is one of five states without a state lottery.
