Delhi: Heatwave continues, no respite likely soon

As per the private forecaster Skymet, at the weather observatory in Palam, the maximum temperature was recorded at 43 degrees Celsius.

With the temperature recorded at 41.7 degrees Celsius, Delhi witnessed heatwave conditions on Wednesday. Weather forecasters have ruled out the possibility of any rain till the end of this month.

On Wednesday, central parts of the country also saw mercury levels soaring. In Madhya Pradesh's Khargone and Maharashtra's Brahmapuri, the highest temperature was registered at 45 degrees Celsius.

In the national capital, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), temperature touched 41.7 degrees mark. It was four notches above the season's average. 

As per the private forecaster Skymet, at the weather observatory in Palam, the maximum temperature was recorded at 43 degrees Celsius.

In Delhi, the IMD has predicted cloudy sky on Thursday. However, rains are unlikely.
