UP Board UPMSP 12th result 2019 HIGHLIGHTS: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has declared the result for class 12 results today, April 27 (Saturday), 2019. Candidates can check their score at the official websites, upmsp.edu.in and upresults.nic.in.
The evaluation process was conducted from March 8 2019 to March 25, 2019 across 230 evaluation centre in the country and over 35,000 evaluators participated in the process. Over 29 lakh candidates registered in the exam.

The 15-year-old from Kanpur topped the Uttar Pradesh High School, Class 10 examination with 583 marks securing 97.17 per cent. Apart from the hard work and self-study, Gautam Raghuvanshi credited the change in the exam pattern of the UP Board which made the paper easy.

Lucknow, the capital, became the best performing district with 89.28 per cent students clering the exam from the city. Shamli and Ghaziabad secured second and third spot with 88,78% and 87.23% pass percentage.
Tanu Tomar, daughter of a farmer based in Baraut, a town in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh has emerged as the topper in the class 12 examination of Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP). She has not only surpassed over 29 lakh candidates who had registered for the UP Board 12th exams 2019 but has also broken last three years’ record.

UP Board Class 12 topper Tanu said that she is happy with her performance and added that her feat would inspire students from her school to work harder. She said that her teacher once predicted that she will top the exam. The UP Board results for both high school and Intermediate is out. The overall pass percentage is 80.07 per cent for class 10 and class 12 is 70.2%.
Tanu Tomar, daughter of a farmer has topped the UP Board class 12 exam. She had the medical stream and has obtained 97.2% marks. Her marks are highest as compared to the last three years toppers. Last year's toper Akash Maurya had secured 93.20% In 2017, Priyanshi Tiwari had topper with 96.20% marks.
Registered candidates declined by 3,79,827 and the pass percentage declined by 2.37 per cent this year as compared to the last one.

In intermediate, a total of 90 students appeared for the UP Board class 12 exam from jail out of which 45 cleared the exam. The pass percentage remained 77.59 per cent which is above the state average.

In a video-conferencing held on review of preparations of the board exams on Saturday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath warned all the district magistrates (DM), district inspector of schools (DIOS), principals and the centre superintendents to stay alert as they would be held responsible if anyone is found cheating.
A total of 5,89,622 candidates had registered for class 12 and class 10 exams. Out of which, 69,860 students skipped the boards, as per the official data. Last year, 26.54 lakh students, including 1.79 lakh private examinees registered for the Inter exams out of which 11 lakh were absent in exams.
This year the exams were conducted amid tight security this year. Special Task Force (STF) has been engaged to keep a watch on copying mafia and also on activities in and around sensitive examination centres. As a result, many students skipped the exam. Also, the pass percentage dropped by over 2 per cent from last year.

For centre administrator, the remuneration has increased from Rs 120 per day to Rs 160 per day, for class inspector the fee has increased from Rs 72 a day to Rs 96 per day among others.

As per the latest rules, to get one subject paper reevaluated, candidates will have to pay Rs 500 instead of Rs 100 earlier. With this, the UP Board’s reevaluation procedure is the costliest in the country.
Last year 11,000 evaluation centres were there but this year the same has been declined in a move which board claimed helped them access the centres better and ensure fair and secure practice.

In class 12 exams all the top three ranks are held by girls. Further, the number of girls passing the exam is also higher than that of girls.
It is being speculated that the pass percentage has dropped as the Board has changed the pattern in the exam which might have lead students confused.

Students can download their result and keep it as a provisional mark sheet but detailed and original mark sheets will be provided from respective schools. Additionally, supplementary date sheet will also be declared soon by the board. Those who are not happy with marks can appear for supplementary exams. The board also provides re-totalling and re-verification facility. The fee for re-evaluation has been increased by five folds by the board.

The UP Board claims that the rise in fee is done to demotivate students from sending too many applications for reevaluation. Talking to indianexpress.com, additional secretary, UP Board, Shiv Lal said, “The board gets way too many applications for reevaluation and many just send it for the sake of it. We invest resources in it, many evaluators have to be outsourced and time, labour and money are invested, we want to put a cap at the fake entrants.”

Candidates who fail in more than two subjects will be considered fail. Rest have the option to sit for the compartment exam. These students who might get low marks in the UP Board inter exam can apply for the supplementary exam after the declaration of the results.
After the results are out, the UP Board students have to check their class 12 marksheet properly. "The results published on net are for immediate information to the examinees. Although every effort is made to maintain the accuracy of the results, error may creep in inadvertently due to extraneous reasons beyond the control of either NIC or the concerned Institution/ board/ university. Students are advised to verify their marks with the official hard copy issued from the respective Institution/ board/ university," reads the disclaimer on the result portal.

Due to the Uttar Pradesh Board’s strong measures to prevent cheating during examinations, a total of 6.52 lakh students failed to appear this year. In 2018, a total of 66.37 lakh students registered for the UP Board exams. These include 36,55,691 for class 10 exams and 29,81,327 students for class 12. However, a record total of 11,28,250 students had not appeared for the board exams. In Hardoi, 11,141 students — 3,065 of high school and 8,076 of intermediate — were absent in Azamgarh 8,842 students — 6,754 of intermediate — were absent, Jaunpur 6,330 students — 4,516 of intermediate — and Gonda 6299 students — 4376 of intermediate — did not appear for the exams.

The results of UP Board secondary and senior secondary are released annually in May, however, from 2018, the result declaration has been preponed. UP Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma had said the results of Class 10 and Class 12 examinations conducted by the state board will be declared this month and the new academic session will commence on April 16.
This year, a total of 58,06,922 students (31,95,603 in high school and 26,11,319 in intermediate) have registered for the examination. Of which over 6 lakh have failed to appear.

Six inmates, including four serving life terms, at the district jail here had last year cleared their Class 10 and 12 examinations conducted by the Uttar Pradesh state education board. These inmates secured first division in the examination.
From the Gautam Buddha Nagar of Uttar Pradesh, 82.7 per cent Class 12 students and 81.5 per cent Class 10 students passed the UP Board examination. In the district, 16,381 students had appeared for Class 12 examination. For Class 10, 20,741 students had appeared for the exmination, P K Upadyay, district inspectors of schools.
