Tamil Nadu Class 10 results released; slight rise in pass percentage

The overall pass percentage in Class X board exams in Tamil Nadu witnessed a slight increase as 95.2% of the students who appeared for the exams passed this year. Last year, the pass percentage was 94.5%.

CHENNAI: The overall pass percentage in Class X board exams in Tamil Nadu witnessed a slight increase as 95.2% of the students who appeared for the exams passed this year. Last year, the pass percentage was 94.5%.
In a record, 97% of the girls cleared the exam while 93.3% boys passed the board exam.
The results were released online at 9.30am on Monday and 9.77 lakh students who appeared for the exams received their results on their mobile numbers as well.

Of 12,548 schools, a staggering 6,100 schools (50%) registered 100% results this year.
More students have cleared the science subject (98.56%). Surprisingly, 96.46% students cleared maths, which was termed as the toughest exam in recent years.
Tirupur district registered the highest pass percentage with 98.53% rate followed by Ramanathapuram district (98.48%) and Namakkal district (98.45%).
Students can download the provisional marksheets through their schools from May 2. From May 6, they can download the marksheets on their own by registering their date of birth and registration number.

The candidates can apply for retotalling from May 2 to 4 through their schools. The fee for retotalling for English and language is Rs 305 each and for other subjects, it is Rs 205 each.
A total of 152 prisoners appeared for Class X exam, and 110 of them passed. The pass percentage among prisoners is 72.36%.
Disabled students registered a high pass percentage (91.25%). A total of 4,816 differently abled candidates appeared for the exam, and 4,816 of them passed.
