Boatman's son Bobby Nishad scores 88.5% in Class 10th UP board in Mathura

Bobby Nishad, son of a boatman, has secured the seventh position among the top 10 students of the class X UP Board examination in Mathura district.

AGRA: Bobby Nishad, son of a boatman, has secured the seventh position among the top 10 students of the class X UP Board examination in Mathura district.
Bobby, a student of KCGSVMIC Madhav Kunj in Mathura, scored 88.50% marks. He said, "I want to become a Chartered Accountant so that I can change my family's fortunes". He is thankful to his parents, who give him the opportunity to study and do whatever he wants to do in his life.

"My parents have always encouraged me to study. They never forced me to do the family's traditional business," said Bobby, adding that he wants to make them proud and he will surely do it.
Bobby's father Nitesh Kumar Nishad works as a boatman at Ashkundha ghat in Mathura and charges Rs 20 per tourist for rides on his boat. In fact, Bobby's grand father is also a boatman and lives in Rajasthan.
Class 10th UP board

Nitesh, who is just 12 th pass, wants his son to become a "big man" and get out of the life that he himself is leading. Nitesh said that he is happy to see his son's name in the list of top 10 students'. "Bobby sometimes comes to help me, but I don't want him to do this in routine as there is nothing much in it now," said Nitesh, who earns Rs 500 -700 per day or sometimes nothing.
He said, his priority is to make his children well educated and independent. Bobby has three younger brothers and they are all studying in school.
