(MENAFN- KNN India) IGNOU, BSE launch awareness program on GST to facilitate MSMEs
New Delhi, Apr 30 (KNN) The School of Management Studies of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) in conjunction with the Bombay Stock Exchange Institute Limited has developed an awareness program on Goods and Service Tax (GST) to help small scale businesses.
This non-credit awareness program imports basic knowledge and skills required to fulfill the various requirements of Goods and Service Tax (GST) Act.
Entrepreneurs engaged in small-scale business ventures can also benefit from this program as it gives an overview of the procedures and formalities to comply under the GST Act, it said.
The GST awareness program consist of seven modules namely: Understanding GST concept, Incidence of Taxation, Registration, Calculation of Tax Liability, Maintenance of Books, Payments under GST and 22nd & 23rd GST Council Meeting for change in GST.
This program would be beneficial to people who are engaged in maintaining accounts and filing of various indirect tax returns, the varsity said.
The main objective of the program is to impart skills to book keeping professionals to file various regular GST returns along with the various compliance requirements.
