Man abuses K Chandrasekhar Rao on Facebook, held

A case was registered under relevant sections of the I.T. Act, 2000

Hyderabad: The Cyber Crime Police, Hyderabad, has arrested a Chirpa Naresh of Mahabubnagar who has allegedly made abusive comments against Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and MP K. Kavitha on social media.

The complaint filed by state president of TRS, Hyderabad, G. Srininvas Yadav stated that some are creating profiles in Facebook to post obscene and objectionable content against the Telangana Chief Minister and his family and has requested the authorities to take necessary action.

A case was registered under relevant sections of the I.T. Act, 2000

Police officials have said that during their preliminary investigation, they have found few profiles on Facebook that were circulating morphed pictures of the Chief Minister.

They said that the profile of the accused and some others does contain abusive comments about MP K. Kavitha and his other family members. An investigation has been initiated.
