PUNE: Ed-tech startup Eupheus Learning said that it had crossed revenues of Rs 60 crore and turned profitable in its second year of operations. Set up in 2017, Amit Kapoor, co-founder, Eupheus Learning said that the company was now working with over 4000 schools and 3.3 million children. Eupheus provides learning modules, which schools can select as per their requirements.

Kapoor said, “In the first year (March ‘17) we had revenues of Rs 22 crore and were working with 1800 schools and 1 million children. We offer a bouquet of solutions that schools can select from and it is not a one size fits all approach with the courses tailored depending on the subject. All these factors have helped us grow in the past year.”

The company has set itself a target of reaching 25,000 schools and revenues of Rs 900-1,000 crore over the next four years, starting with a revenue target of Rs 150 crore this year.

In addition to the solution for schools, Eupheus also provides additional home learning tool for parents. While most startups in this space are focused on either augmenting the teaching materials at school or helping kids with home learning solutions, Eupheus is focusing on providing a solution that bridges both. While the focus currently is on providing content that is customized depending on the subject and the school board (CBSE or ISCE), the aim is to also use this captive audience to boost its home learning solutions.

“The aim is to start working with kids from pre-primary or grade 1, so you have a longer customer journey,” he said.

Eupheus has 13 partnerships with companies across the world for specific learning solutions that it offers as part of its package. This includes tie ups with companies like Canada’s RoboGarden for coding and Fiction Express to promote reading.
