At one of the booths at Chail, BJP candidate Vinod Sonkar was seen with party symbol pinned up at his half coat. Although till the reports were last filed, the district magistrate had not received any complain from any of the candidate.
“I have received few pics of the incident and have sought a report from the magistrate and will take action after getting the details,” said DM Manish Kumar Verma.
In another incident, state secretary and former Rajya Sabha MP from the Samajwadi Party Arvind Kumar Singh has lodged a complaint with the chief election commission, a copy of which has been sent to state election commission and the district election commission. Singh has registered his protest against the use of force by supporters of Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya wherein they have prevented the voters from entering a number of polling booths at Kunda.
DM Kaushambi said, “I have asked the Pratapgrah DM to submit a report in connection with the complaint lodged by SP and the same would be sent to the state election commission after thorough probe”.
The Kaushambi parliamentary seat this year is witnessing a three-concer fight in the general election between Vinod Sonkar of BJP, Indrajeet Saroj of Samjwadi party and Shailendra Kumar of Jansatta Dal Loktantrik.
