Qatar- Girls outshine boys in CBSE class X exams


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Girls once again outperformed boys as the Central Board of Secondary Education announced the class X results yesterday.
The results which were announced in record time following court directions, showed that girls' pass percentage was 92.45%, while the boys' were at 90.14%.

May these young minds continue making us proud, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted. He congratulated the students and also appreciated the hard work and sacrifice put in even by their teachers and parents.
Just four days ago the CBSE class XII results were declared, in which the girls fared better than the boys.
In the class X results, transgender students have fared better than the previous year with 94.74 pass percentage as against 83.33% the last time.
'Congratulations to over 16 lakh students who have succeeded in the CBSE X board examinations and best of luck for those who couldn't make this time but will make it in the next attempt, Human Resource Minister Prakash Javadekar tweeted.
'Overall pass percentage has increased by 4.40% from 80.70% in 2018 to 91.10% in 2019, the minister added.
Siddhant Pengoriya from Lotus Valley International School in Noida, is among the 13 toppers who all scored 499 out of 500 in the exam.
The names of the other toppers, each of whom are from a different school, are Divyansh Wadhwa, Yogesh Kumar Gupta, Ankur Mishra, Vatsal Varshney, Manya, Aryan Jha, Taru Jha, Bhavana Sivadas, Ish Madan among others.
Twenty-four students bagged the second rank in CBSE class X results with 498 marks, while 58 students shared the third spot with 497 marks.
