ICSE Class 10th Result 2019 HIGHLIGHTS: The results of ICSE Class 10 examinations declared on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. Students who have appeared in the examination can check their results through the official websites- cisce.org and results.cisce.org. The results for both ISC and ICSE will be declared at 3 pm.

The students can also avail the digi locker facility to get their marksheets. “The council will make the digitally signed copies of the statement of marks and pass certificate available for the candidates taking the ICSE, ISC examinations through the DigiLocker facility established by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY),” read the official notification.
The ICSE examination has been conducted in 60 written subjects of which 22 are Indian languages and 10 are foreign languages and 2 Classical languages.

Compartment exams being introduced for the first time. This will give chance to candidates to re-appear for the exam again within the same year. Earlier students had to wait for an entire year. Those who failed to clear the exam will get a statement 'eligible for compartmental examination' mentioned in their mark sheet. Those who fail and do not get the statement in mark sheet are failed and not eligible for the compartment and have clearly flunked.

The CISCE is all set to declare the result for ICSE class 10 and ISC class 12. All officials have joined the meeting and soon they will telecast the same through their personal on social media platforms as well.
In 2017, ICSE board exams were conducted from March 10 to April 21, 2019. A total of 1.76 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. The pass percentage of 98.58 per cent was recorded. As many as 10 students jointly held the top rank.
In ICSE or class 10th exam conducted by the CISCE board in 2018, over 1.83 lakh candidates appeared. Out of the total, 1 lakh were male and 83 thousand were female. The pass percentage was 98.51 per cent. The result was declared on May 14, 2018. The exams then were conducted from February 26 to March 28, 2018 in over 2000 exam centres spread across the country. Last years' topper was Swayam Das he secured 99.4 per cent marks.
Those who appeared for the minimum five subjects but fail to clear one or two subjects will get another chance to appear for the exam. The same will be conducted from July 15 to July 17, 2019 and the result will be announced in August.
Students will have to keep their admit card handy where there roll number and date of birth will be mentioned. The same will be needed to check the result.

Last year the cut-off declined by almost 1 per cent. This year the cut-off is expected to rise back. A minimum of 95 per cent students are expected to clear the exam. In 2018 the pass percentage was 98.51 per cent and in 2017 it was at 99.50 per cent. Pass percentage refers to the percentage of students who clear the exam.
Girls have been performing better than boys in both ISC and ICSE exam results for the past three years. Last year, that is in 2018, as many as 98.15 boys passed the ICSE exam against 98.95 per cent. As many as 94.96 per cent boys and 97.63 per cent girls passed the ISC board exam.

The exam for ICSE was conducted from February 22 to March 25, 2019 and the ISC exam was conducted from February 4 to March 25, 2019.
In 2018, the foreign region topped with 100 per cent pass percentage. There were a total of 430 students. From South, a total of 35,231 students appeared out of which 99.69% passed the exam. West closely followed south with a pass percentage of 99.67% but the number of students was lower at 22,872. East and North had 58,252 and 63,878 students respectively who showed a pass percentage of 98.02% and 97.91%.

In 2018, over 1.83 lakh candidates appeared for the exam, out of which, over one lakh candidates were boys and 83,018 were girls. The girls despite being considerably lesser in number had outperformed boys. The pass percentage of girls was 98.95% and boys had a pass percentage of 98.15 per cent.
In 2018, seven students have topped the ISC exams, they are – Abhijnan Chakrobarty from Mumbai, Radhika Chandra from Lucknow, Saman Waheed from Lucknow, Sakshi Pradunan from Lucknow, Lipika Agarwal again from Lucknow, Koushiki Dasgupta Chaudhary from Panihati and Tansa Kartik Shah from Mumbai.
In 2017, Pune’s Muskan Abdulla Pathan and Bengaluru’s Ashwin Rao had jointly topped the class 10 exams with 99.4 per cent each.
The CISCE had lowered the minimum marks required to clear a class. Now, a student requires 33 marks instead of 35 per cent for passing ICSE exams. For class 12 as well, students need 35 instead of 40 per cent for ISC exams.
