99.91 per cent pass ICSE Class X, 98.97 per cent Class XII in Kerala

Mumbai\'s Juhi Rupesh Kajaria and Manhar Bansal of Punjab\'s Muktsar topped the ICSE (class 10) examination with 99.60 per cent.

New Delhi/Thiruvananthapuram: Girls outshone boys yet again in the ICSE and ISC examination, with the toppers setting a record of scoring 100 per cent marks in the class 12 examination.

Kolkata's Dewang Kumar Agarwal and Bengaluru's Vibha Swaminathan bagged the top rank in the ISC (class 12) examination, results of which were announced by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) on Tuesday.

Mumbai's Juhi Rupesh Kajaria and Manhar Bansal of Punjab's Muktsar topped the ICSE (class 10) examination with 99.60 per cent.

Kerala recorded a pass percentage of 99.91 for ICSE Class X and 98.97 for ISC Class XII when the central boards announced the results on Tuesday.

The state rank holders are: ICSE Class X First rank: Nimitha Jose Edassery, St Patrick's Academy, Angamaly (99.40 per cent).

Second Rank: Namrata Nandagopal, St Thomas Residential School, Thiruvananthapuram, Riya Renu Thomas, St Thomas Residential School, Thiruvananthapuram, Parthiv S. Rao, Mar Thoma Residential School, Thiruvalla (98.60 per cent).

Third rank: Yashit Jain, Pallikoodam, Kottayam, Archa M, Don Bosco Central school, Mannuthy, Thrissur, Sneha Mariam, John Marthoma Residential School, Thiruvalla, and Donel Chacko Baby, Christ Nagar Higher Secondary School, Thiruvananthapuram (98.40 per cent)

ISC Class XII

First rank: Fioana Edwin, L'ecole Chempaka, Thiruvananthapuram, (99.75 per cent)

Second rank: Meenakshi S, Holy Angels' ISC school, Thiruvananthapuram, Krishnendu E. Sandeepani Vidyanikethan, Thrissur, Shreya Smitha, Christ Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram, and Anushka Thomas, Hari Sri Vidya Nidhi School, Thrissur, (99.25 per cent),

Third rank: Ankita Radhakrishnan, Christ Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram, and Jerry John Thomas, St Thomas Residential school, Thiruvananthapuram (99 per cent).

Girls have done better than boys. In the ICSE, their pass percentage is 99.95 as against 99.87 of boys.

In ISC, 99.64 per cent of them cleared the exam while 98.27 per cent of boys passed the exam.
