UP: FIR lodged in Ballia against brother of former minister

VARANASI: On the complaint of UP minister Upendra Tiwari, an FIR was lodged against Satish Chaowdhary alias Naga Chowdhary, the brother of former UP minister Ambika Chowdhary, at Ballia Kotwali police station on Wednesday.
According to reports, Tiwari alleged that he received a threatening phone call from Satish on May 6 that he and his family would be killed. The matter was reported to police.
Ballia SP Devendra Nath said that an FIR was registered against Satish under sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC.An investigation in the case is under way.
