After starting his career with Kuch Kuch Hota Hai more than two decades ago, Karan Johar has become a Bollywood giant.
His directorial ventures, as well as his productions under the banner Dharma Productions, have scored big at the box office.
In fact, many of them have entered the Rs 100 crore club. Eight films, at last count.
Though 2019's biggie, Kalank, may not have fared as per expectations, his upcoming ventures -- including Good News (Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor), Sooryavanshi (Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif) and Shamshera (Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor) -- are expected to do well.
Despite the reviews, his latest production, Student Of The Year 2, has appealed to its target audience. Let's see if it hits a century.

Kesari
Box office collection: Rs 152 crore
Akshay Kumar's Kesari, based on a historic battle drama, is 2019's second biggest Hindi grosser after Uri: The Surgical Strike.
Karan Johar is now extensively working with the actor, and has Good News and Sooryavanshi lined up with him.
Simmba
Box office collection: Rs 240.31 crore
When Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty decided to collaborate, it was the coming together of two Bollywood giants.
Add Ranveer Singh to the mix and it was a blockbuster waiting to happen.
Simmba was the biggest grosser for Dharma Productions, surpassing even the Ranbir-Deepika starrer, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.

Raazi
Box office collection: Rs 124 crore
Had Raazi even done a third the business that it eventually did, it would still have been a success.
However, the film just went on and on and on and emerged a blockbuster.
Starring Karan Johar's 'student' Alia Bhatt, the film was made at a moderate budget and entered the Rs 100 crore club, besides bagging major awards.

Badrinath Ki Dulhania
Box office collection: Rs 116.60 crore
A fun film that took the Dulhania franchise forward -- Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania was the first -- it was Karan Johar's endeavour to bring together the 'jodi' of Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt once again.
They delivered and audiences nodded in approval.
What further worked in favour of the film was the music that turned out to be chartbuster, aiding in its Rs 100 crore club run.

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
Box office collection: Rs 112.50 crore
Karan Johar's last directorial, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, marked his personal entry into the Rs 100 crore club.
Though he had delivered much bigger successes earlier in his career (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham), the 'Rs 100 Crore Club' hadn't existed then.
The Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma film was Karan's official entry into this prestigious group!

2 States
Box office collection: Rs 102 crore
While Alia Bhatt has worked in a number of Karan Johar productions, Arjun Kapoor was the new entrant in 2 States.
A film that Karan Johar made in collaboration with Sajid Nadiadwala, it was an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's namesake bestseller.
The film worked well with both the youth and the not-so-young and, in the process, made its way into the Rs 100 crore club.
Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
Box office collection: Rs 188.92 crore
One of KJo's biggest hits till date, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani missed entering the Rs 200 crore club by a whisker.
Yet, this Ranbir-Deepika starrer is one of the most-loved entertainers amongst the youth and its songs are popular till date.
Now, Karan reunites with director Ayan Mukerji and Ranbir Kapoor for Brahmastra.

Agneepath
Box office collection: Rs 115 crore
The first Rs 100 crore club success for Karan Johar, Agneepath was the remake of his father Yash Johar's big hit with Amitabh Bachchan that had, shockingly, not done well at the box office.
With director Karan Malhotra, leading man Hrithik Roshan and 'villains' Sanjay Dutt and Rishi Kapoor, KJo made sure this one was one big masala entertainer.
