NEW DELHI: Delhi University may start its undergraduate registration process only after May 20 as the admission
committee is yet to meet and finalise a number of a policy decisions taken by the standing committee for admissions.
The proposals include an increase in ward quotas for the teaching and non-teaching staff, conducting entrance exams in
Hindi along with English, and allotting special deprivation points to students from the rural background and those from government schools.
A member of the standing committee, Rasal Singh, said, "The committee has forwarded three utmost important issues to the academic council for further deliberations after heated discussions."
The medium of entrance exams should be bilingual, especially in the humanities, Singh said.
