AGRA: An 8-year-old girl was mauled to death by a pack of stray dogs in Mathura’s Pisawa village on Monday, when she was on her way to the field to meet her father.
According to local residents, the incident occurred in the morning hours when Devki was going to give food to her father Bhoop Singh. She was attacked by stray dogs just half km away from her home. She suffered dog bites all over her body and succumbed to the injuries while on her way to hospital.

Talking to TOI, Devki’s uncle Man Singh said that the injured girl was spotted by a few local children who were passing by the lonely stretch. He said that they immediately informed her father, who rushed her to a nearby hospital, where the doctors declared her dead. He said that the girl was bleeding profusely.
Panic gripped local residents following the attack as children skipped their school and remained indoor.
Singh said people in the village, especially women, children and the elderly, are walking with sticks.
