For most of us mere mortals, major medical procedures are followed by months and months of painstakingly slow rehab.

Mick Jagger, meanwhile, seems to have jumped off the operating table and headed right back into work mode.

The Rolling Stones announced this morning that they're ready to hit the road for a tour that was announced as postponed in late March. The band's No Filter dates were originally supposed to start with a show on April 20 in Miami.

The initial news was that Jagger was dealing with an unspecified medical problem. In the days following the postponement announcment, it was leaked that the 75-year-old singer was having an operation to repair a damaged valve in his heart.

Now, a month and a half later, rock 'n' roll's most iconic septuagenarian has obviously been cleared to get back it.

The rescheduled No Filter tour will kick off with a pair of shows at Chicago’s Soldier Field on June 21 and 25. The 17-date swing will conclude at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium on August 31.

The only Pacific Northwest date is an August 14 stop at Seattle's CenturyLink Field.

Ontarians will get the opportunity to see the Stones at Burl’s Creek on June 9.

Those worried that Jagger might be pushing the old ticker too hard can take solace in his girlfriend,  ballerina Melanie Hamrick, announcing to TMZ.com earlier this week that the singer has been doing "wonderfully". If that's not enough, check out the video below of Jagger shaking his ass to the Wombat's "Techno Fan" in a dance studio.

Yes, the man is 75. We should all be so lucky.
