Once bitten Lagadapati Rajagopal hints at TD, TRS win

Former MP will speak about the exit polls on Sunday evening but says AP has always given a decisive outcome.

Vijayawada: Andhra octopus and former MP Lagadapati Rajagopal hinted that TRS will win a majority of MP seats in Telangana state while Telugu Desam will retain power in AP State.

Addressing a press meet at Velgapudi of Amaravati on Saturday, he said that his exit poll surveys never failed barring the recent exit poll of Telangana State. He stated that he will announce the exit poll survey results on Sunday at 6 pm at Tirupati.

Earlier Mr Rajagopal met TD MLCs Buddha Venkanna, P. Ashok Babu and Jupudi Prabhakar Rao at his residence in Vijayawada on Saturday before starting for Amara-vati. On reaching Amara-vati, he hinted TD would win the elections, adding that public, hence, was expressing doubts over the sanctity of his exit poll survey of AP elections.

Mr Rajagopal said that Jana Sena will get fewernumber of seats in this election than Praja Rajyam Party which got 18 in the 2009 election led by Telugu cine actor K. Chiranjeevi. He predicted that JS chief K Pawan Kalyan will enter Assembly.

He predicted that AP people gave a clear majority to one party and hinted that TD would win. He claimed that beside the deficit financial conditions, the Chief Minister’s development and welfare schemes impressed voters.

In Telangana, surplus revenue worked for TRS, he said.

He said that exit polls survey to know voters pulse has been his hobby and people can accept or reject his findings. He said money flow impressed voters in AP, Telangana and Karnataka states.

Mr Rajagopal said that he conducts exit poll survey scientifically adding that public pulse would change if MP and MLA elections come simultaneously and separately.

Hinting of a TD swing, he said that welfare scheme largely impressed voters in AP election and Andhra people gave swing to one party (TD) from Srikakulam to Anantapur in this election. He said that Andhra voters had not given a hung verdict in the past and this time also they would give clear verdict. He said that he has good relations with YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, Y.S. Sharmila and others. He recently met Jagan family members to console the death of former MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy. He said that friendship is different from politics and exit poll results.

Saying that former CBI joint director V.V. Lakshminarayana iss not suitable for politics. he added that he will talk about his winning the election on Sunday.

At the Centre, he predicted no party will get majority and a hungparliament will be seen.

Mr Rajagopal said that NRIs are more interested in the results than local people.
